Very excited to learn that from 3 May 2016, British Airways will fly every day to Inverness, from London Heathrow Terminal 5.
Just a 75 minute stunning drive from Kathleen’s Croft and you can be enjoying the wondrous views of three Munros from the outside dining area……….

“My husband and I rented the cottage with my mother, sister and brother-in-law over Christmas/ New Year. What an incredible place to stay and welcome the new decade. Not only the house has a very warm and special energy, also the nature around is just stunning. We enjoyed long walks, afternoon tea at the Torridon Hotel and some cosy hours at the cottage. We also lovely the lovely Christmas decorations Val put up for us – there was even a Christmas tree fully decorated. We absolutely loved staying here. The locals as well as the weather treated us dearly. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve! Thanks so much Val for everything. We love Kathleen’s Croft and we will be back for sure! Big thank you from Lena, Seluan, Mara, Sarah and Adi from Zurich.” January 2020.
A lovely few days up in Torridon, we still enjoyed the peace and the scenery as always is stunning. We hope to revisit later in the year.”

We had another super week in the cottage with lovely weather which makes a change from what we’ve been used to at home recently!. Kathleen’s croft is a real home from home. I will be in contact no doubt to book another week for next autumn.”

A beautiful, cosy cottage with a magical view on the loch. Perfect location to explore the Wester Ross area and for outdoors activities. It was perfect, thank you again.”

We had a wonderful stay at Kathleen’s Cottage. The cottage looks fantastic on the website, but our stay was even better than expected. We have stayed in many holiday cottages over the years and this is one of the very best. Stunning location overlooking the Loch and across to the mountains. We were reciprocating hosting last year’s holiday we had in Germany led by friends of ours and had a lot to live up to. All of Scotland was magnificent, but our time at Kathleen’s Cottage was especially memorable. Everything you would want was available, a superbly stocked kitchen, a range of local guide books and some really tasteful personal touches in its decoration. The local scenery ain’t too bad either! We will be back and I suspect there may be some additional enquiries from Germany when our friends share their photos with their family and friends.”

Four of us stayed at Kathleen's Croft for a week and it was the perfect base for our trip. Amazing access to Munro's and sea kayaking and such a clean and cozy place to come back to with everything we could need for cooking/drying clothes etc. We will definitely be back."

Kathleen’s Croft is a beautiful house, with stunning views of the Torridonian mountains. It’s spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The house was very warm and comfortable. It’s ideal for a dog, with an enclosed garden and internal stair gate. Val and John were easily contactable in the run up to our stay, and very helpful when we forgot the key safe code. They left a welcome pack for our arrival, which was very thoughtful . The house is very well placed for walks in the local area, and is a short walk from the Torridon hotel which we would recommend for drinks and food. We’ll hopefully be back soon!”

Kathleen's Croft is just perfect. It is a beautifully situated house, tastefully decorated in Val's inimitable style. Fabulous walks, fishing and food all around - what more could we ask for? Cannot wait to return in October.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kathleen's Croft. The cottage is very well equipped, extremely cosy (with plentiful hot water) and has amazing views out onto the loch and the mountains. There is a pub and also a shop close by and lots of walks in the local area. We would definitely love to come back. Thanks."

We have had a lovely stay at Kathleen's Croft. Very cosy and warm. Very grateful for the wonderful Christmas decorations and little treats. We have stayed at other cottages locally but this one is BY FAR the best. Thank you very much, we will definitely be back in the spring/summer."

This was my second trip to Scotland and my very first to the northern highlands. Torridon is a truly, remote and beautiful area surrounded by incredible scenery.
Kathleen's Croft was everything we expected, cosy, warm and tastefully furnished. The welcome gift of wine and biscuits was very much appreciated.
Every window offered views to the Loch and mountains and my son soon occupied the little viewing area upstairs which he called his office. A place to download photos every night.
I was hoping to light the log burners but alas it wasn't cold enough ha ha.
We loved Shieldaig where we enjoyed lunch at Nannys.
This was the area where we saw our only sighting of Sea Eagles as well as seals.
Despite the unpredictable weather we managed to walk everyday. The most memorable walk was to the Triple Buttress, a fine low level walk offering breathtaking views.
Tesco delivered our weekly supplies which was ideal as not everything can be purchased locally. We did however buy a number of items from the Torridon stores whilst enjoying their cafe.
Not too many places to eat locally unless we wanted to drive a few miles so apart from a meal at the Torridon, not the posh restaurant and several lunches taken elsewhere, we ate in the cottage.
Our experiences of this part of Scotland will always remain with us and we hope to come back again in the future despite travelling over 700 miles to get here. It was worth it!!! Thank you Val."

We absolutely loved your cottage....wonderful style, great taste and perfect location.Seeing a stag just outside the front garden in breaking dawn was a highlight...made more exciting when a pine martin ran across your wall...I thought I was dreaming."
