Shell Cottage in Culduie, Applecross, sits in a small hamlet, a couple of miles from the famous North Coast 500 route through the Scottish highlands. A peaceful and charming cottage, Kirsten and Gregor, offer two lovely bedrooms both with ensuite shower rooms and a great breakfast.
The two en-suite rooms are named Mountain View and Sea View. The larger one, Sea View, offers more space in the bedroom and has fantastic views on two sides. Mountain View, the slightly smaller room, has a stunning view to Skye. Both have 5ft wide king size beds.
Each bedroom, both located on the first floor, has a king size bed made with fine cotton linens, feather duvets and tartan blankets and a beautiful shower room. The guest lounge has a log effect stove, comfy sofa and chairs.
The dining room, warm and cosy has a view to die for! Enjoying west-facing views over the Cuillin Mountains of Skye and the Inner Sound coastline, Shell Cottage is a great place to chill at the end of a day of hillwalking or wild swimming! Ask local girl Kirsten for the best places to swim, or ask Gregor for the best walk across the peninsula!
The interior merges contemporary Scottish with calming Farrow and Ball colours. Beautiful tweeds, lovely linens and sumptuous cushions give an air of understated luxury. Attention to detail with skilful carpentry and a lovely ambiance makes Shell Cottage very relaxing.
