The nearest airport is Inverness International Airport.
From Inverness (about 1 hour 15 minutes away)
We recommend hiring a car from the airport (almost all car hire firms are represented at the airport). The entire journey is on very good roads, some of them single carriageway in places.
The roads tend to be very empty, and the journey itself is a stunning way to start to explore the Highlands. Turning corners and seeing stunning mountain scenery or deer!
Or driving down valleys with water shining out from the lochs that you pass along the way; this is truly a “Welcome to the Highlands“.
