The Birdhouse – best yet!
This is a wonderful little cottage in an area of Scotland that is so worth visiting. Lots of walks on both the coast and mountains. The hosts were very helpful in directing us to some amazing areas and we really appreciated the welcome hamper they left for us. The cottage was very well equipped as well as the shower room, we didn’t need anything. Thank you so much – we would love to come back to The Birdhouse!

We have had a fantastic stay at Kathleen’s Croft, great weather and a great meal at Fish Friday in the Torridon Community Centre cafe. We will be back again.
The Birdhouse is a superb and very well appointed place in a beautiful setting on the Applecross Peninsula. Cosy, with both good heating and a wood burning stove. I really enjoyed my stay, and the legendary Applecross Inn is only a couple of miles down the road to drive or walk to (walking back under the stars as the skies here are so clear).
We stayed at a lovely local property but from arrival it was not like staying at one of your places so I just wanted to say how wonderful our stays always are with you. The extra touches and attention to detail as well as the level of cleanliness and facilities certainly do not go unnoticed! We were jealous of dad staying at The Birdhouse.

We had such a wonderful 3-night stay at The Birdhouse! From the moment we arrived, we were given the warmest welcome. The lodge is absolutely beautiful – so peaceful and thoughtfully decorated, with every little detail perfectly done. The bed was super comfy, and the shower was amazing! We really appreciated the lovely touches like the Highland Soap toiletries, which smelled incredible, and all the little essentials that made our stay so easy and comfortable. The welcome pack with Prosecco, coffee, and shortbread snacks was such a thoughtful surprise! It’s clear so much care goes into making guests feel at home here. We’ll definitely be visiting again and will be recommending The Birdhouse to all our friends and family. Thank you for a perfect stay!
We had a great time at Kathleen’s Croft. Really liked the house and were very lucky with the weather, and it’s very likely we’ll be back at some point.
