The Birdhouse has lots of character and is well set out. The bedroom lighting made it a very relaxing space and the bed was very comfortable. Lots of lovely walks nearby.
Great stay as always! We love the garden as we have small children. Kathleen’s Croft is a perfect base to help us travel the area!

We really felt happy and so comfortable being there. We loved exploring Applecross and coming back to the Birdhouse at the end of the day to enjoy the peace and tranquility of its setting. We used the log burner, which was so lovely! Thank you for all your excellent communication throughout the process of booking our stay.
We had a great time in The Birdhouse. Patchy weather but enough good days to enjoy the surroundings. House was very nice.
The Birdhouse is a tranquil bothy with views of The Cuillins and Raasay over breakfast, with birdsong from a huge array of birds. Lots of info about local walks, swimming and where to eat, all fabulous. We had the most wonderful week for our 30th wedding anniversary and we recommend highly.
I really enjoyed my stay at The Birdhouse. Nicely sized, very well decorated and equipped with everything you need. The bathroom is amazing and there’s central heating. The hosts were extremely helpful and kind. Me and my dog both felt very welcome. Locations is stunning with a lot of nice walks nearby and quite close to the main village by car.
We had a fantastic stay at Kathleen’s Croft, loved the views from the cottage. Thank you for making this such a homely place. The sun shines as we leave and we hope to be back again.
I had a wonderful stay at The Birdhouse. The home was decorated lovely and everything was comfortable. The home was very clean and well stocked for guests. I really enjoyed the location, it is very secluded and it’s a bit of a drive, but the drive is absolutely stunning. Applecross itself was lovely. I would definitely recommend and would gladly stay again.
A lovely wee place and excellent spot to explore Applecross from. We enjoyed the walk down to the coral beaches and food at the Applecross inn and the Walled garden. A beautiful spot for our wee honeymoon.
