We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Applecross. The Birdhouse is fab! You’ve got a beautiful place and whilst small, everything you could possibly need is catered for. Hopefully we’ll be back soon.
They Might Be Giants sang about the ‘Birdhouse in your Soul’. Not to put too fine a point on it this is how we felt about our stay at The Birdhouse. The place is truly wonderful, and the area likewise. The service online beforehand was exemplary. Val is to be commended, and followed up as promised. Deposit returned without hassle. The ‘on site’ help is friendly but unobtrusive. Although the weather in late August was not great, the log burner kept us warm and cosy. That is the Birdhouse in a nutshell. Whether you arrive via the pass or the coast road, you will find your nest.
It’s already a week since we left but I wanted to say thank you for our great stay at Kathleen’s Croft! We really enjoyed the cottage and the area and I am sure we will come back one time. Cheers.
Alas, time to go. The Birdhouse is splendid. Applecross and Wester ross – wonderful. Seals and eagles to watch, squat lobster to eat at The Inn. A great time, a great place.
Hazel and myself had a wonderful time, it was such a beautiful area and The Birdhouse was the perfect place to stay for the relaxing break we wanted.
It was amazing! Kathleen’s Croft is a nice house with more space than expected. It is in one of the most beautiful places in Scotland. The view of the mountains and the sea is spectacular. You can make good walks from the house. We were with 3 children and they also enjoyed it very much! Especially from the beach with the rivers.
Fabulous cottage, beautiful surroundings, peaceful … Kathleen’s Croft is just a stone’s throw to the edge of Loch Torridon. Will definitely be staying again.
